Property Description

Some things cannot be replicated. Not the 1830s timber pulled from Carolina log houses. Not the 60-year creek-soaked chestnut mantel. Not the view from the upper deck at dusk, pool glowing below, open Texas land stretching to the horizon.

This home was designed to hold history.

The reclaimed timber trusses anchoring the great room came from two 1830s-era log houses near Old Fort, North Carolina. As a child, the seller helped disassemble and catalog every log. Surplus timbers from that family project traveled to Texas when this home was built in 2004.

The pecky cypress walls in the gameroom were milled from bald cypress logs recovered from a Florida riverbed by the seller's father — logs that had been submerged for decades along the Withlacoochee River. The distinctive natural cavities are caused by a fungal feature in the living tree. Used in every family home since the 1970s.

The American chestnut mantel spent over 60 years submerged in a North Carolina creek before the seller, with five friends, retrieved it in 2004. Slowly kiln-dried in a garage-built kiln. A single-piece mantel that no lumberyard on earth could replicate.

From the moment you step through the barrel-vault entry, the scale of this home makes itself known. Rich hardwood floors. Soaring ceilings. A two-story window wall that floods the formal living room with natural light and treetop views.

The chef's kitchen anchors the heart of the home — custom knotty alder cabinetry, granite countertops, a hand-crafted show-stopping range hood, professional gas range, double ovens, and dual prep islands. The casual dining nook opens directly to the covered outdoor living area through walls of glass, making every meal feel connected to the land outside.

The primary suite is its own world. Stone fireplace. Spa bath with his-and-hers vanities, a dedicated vanity station, soaking tub framed by a garden window, and an oversized double walk-through shower flooded with natural light.

Beyond the primary, the home delivers at every turn: a paneled study with custom built-ins and faux-finish walls built for real work, a dedicated library with floor-to-ceiling shelving and marble fireplace, a home fitness room with French door patio access, and a formal dining room with wainscoting and seating for ten. A third-level tower room wrapped in windows was built for one thing — watching the North Texas sky.

From above, it's clear: this is not a large lot. This is a small ranch.

White rail fencing lines the private drive. A classic red gambrel barn anchors the back of the property. A pond reflects the sky. And behind it all, wide-open views that no neighboring roofline interrupts.

Ten acres gives this home its character — room for horses, space to breathe, and the kind of quiet that requires acreage to achieve.

The back of this home is an outdoor resort.

A natural-edge pool with rock waterfall, beach entry, and attached spa sits at the center of a sprawling flagstone and stamped concrete patio. String lights arc across the yard. A stone fire pit anchors the open-air seating area. Long views carry past the fenced yard to open pasture beyond.

The covered outdoor living area — cedar ceiling, outdoor TV, full seating — flows directly to the outdoor kitchen: stone bar, built-in grill, Kamado smoker, and sink. Above it all, a covered upper deck looks out over the pool and the land. One level higher, an open balcony with unobstructed horizon-to-horizon views.

At sunset, this property earns every photo.

Zoned to top-rated Lewisville ISD. Positioned on the quiet western edge of Flower Mound — far enough from the noise to feel like country living, close enough to dining, shopping, and DFW Airport that nothing feels out of reach.

Minutes to Flower Mound's best restaurants and retail. Twenty minutes to DFW International. Thirty minutes to Dallas or Fort Worth.

Close enough to everything. Far enough from the noise.

This is not a house you settle for. It's one you grow into.
